Fueling Dreams to support Special Olympics athletes
HONOLULU – Starting Wednesday, July 5, Par Hawaii is pumping up support for Special Olympics Hawaii. The company’s annual Fueling Dreams campaign returns for its 12th year, allowing island drivers to make a donation to Special Olympics Hawaii at any one of 45 participating Hele, 76 and Tesoro stations throughout Maui, Oahu, Kauai and Hawaii Island.
All donations received will provide opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities to train and compete free of charge, including participating in the upcoming Holiday Classic on Nov. 11-12, 2017.
Par Hawaii, marketer of the Hele, 76 and Tesoro brands of gasoline in the islands, has been a strong supporter of Special Olympics Hawaii for more than 27 years.
As part of the campaign, which runs through Aug. 8, 2017, Special Olympics Hawaii and Par Hawaii will give away three $500 gift cards. Those who donate $5 will receive one entry; those who donate $20 will receive five entries. The more entry blanks you enter, the better your chances are to win a $500 Hele, 76 or VISA/American Express gift card.
A donation is not required to enter the drawing. For a free entry blank, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Special Olympics Hawaii, P.O. Box 3295, Honolulu, HI 96801.
Special Olympics Hawaii President and CEO Nancy Bottelo said, “Each year, the money that Par Hawaii raises plays a critical role in our work to help fuel the dreams of athletes with intellectual disabilities.”
