LAHAINA – Dr. Anne Biedel, medical advisor to Pono Life Maui, will give a presentation on the benefits of medical marijuana at the 7 a.m. meeting of the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise on Tuesday, June 27, at the Pioneer Inn.

The public is invited to attend the meeting. The $10 fee includes a full breakfast with menu selections. Payment is accepted at the door.

Dr. Biedel will give an update on the opening of medical marijuana dispensaries this summer on Maui. She is presently the medical director of Maui Medical Group, Lahaina, where she has a full-time family practice.

Dr. Biedel has over 20 years of experience prescribing medical marijuana, beginning in Washington State. She is a fellow of the Academy of Family Practice and vice president of Maui Medical Group.

Lahaina is home to three Rotary Clubs. Pioneer Inn hosts weekly Rotary meetings at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. Royal Lahaina Resort hosts meetings at noon on Thursdays, as well as the first, third and fifth Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Visitors and community members are always welcome.
