LAHAINA – On Tuesday, June 20, the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset invites the public to a talk by Lauren Armstrong, who will share information about the Maui Metropolitan Planning Organization (Maui MPO), its purpose and its activities as the transportation planning agency for Maui.

Armstrong has served as Maui MPO executive director since September 2016. The organization, also formed in 2016, coordinates the use of federal funding through partnerships with state and local government, businesses and citizens to provide a safe, efficient and sustainable multimodal ground transportation system.

The Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunset’s community speaker series takes place during club meetings, which are held on the first and third Tuesday of the month at the Ocean Terrace Restaurant, Royal Lahaina Resort, Kaanapali, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
