Ruth Griffith to speak at Rotary meeting

LAHAINA – Ruth Griffith, born and raised on Maui, will be the featured speaker at the Rotary Club of Lahaina Sunrise on June 6. The public is invited to attend the meeting at the Pioneer Inn at 7 a.m. The $10 fee includes a full breakfast.

A graduate of Lahainaluna High School and Colorado State University, Griffith is currently the Kaunoa Senior Services administrator for the County of Maui and oversees a variety of senior services. Griffith was the assistant director at LahainaTown Action Committee for ten years before joining the county workforce.

She will present an overview of the Kaunoa programs that support independent lifestyles, increase life spans and promote civic engagement for everyone age 55 and better throughout Maui County.

Lahaina is home to three Rotary Clubs. Weekly meetings are held at 7 a.m. on Tuesday at Pioneer Inn. Royal Lahaina Resort hosts meetings at noon on Thursdays, as well as the first, third and fifth Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. Visitors and community members are always welcome.
