KAHULUI – Small business enthusiast and social media marketer Danielle Miller last week announced a new coed edition of Miller Media Mastermind, a marketing program that combines the support of a business networking group with the training of a college course.

Registration is now open at www.mmmsocialmedia.com/mastermind for the next Miller Media Mastermind program starting June 22. Six business owners will be accepted into the program.

Miller Media Mastermind is an eight-week training program designed to help Maui’s growing population of business owners overcome the fears and frustrations of marketing their business online. The program is hosted by Miller, a professional social media marketer and EdVenture Maui instructor at the University of Hawaii Maui College.

This group is ideal for entrepreneurs looking to take their business to the next level. Students learn basic SEO, blogging strategies and how to set up an e-mail list. Hands-on social media training for using Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram teaches students how to build brand exposure and track results.

“This class is essential for any business owner trying to market in this social media-driven society,” said Ashley Kakugawa of Maui Bridal Stylist.

Weekly meetings are a combination of hands-on marketing training and interactive workshops. The summer meetings will be held in Kahului on Thursdays from 1 to 4 p.m., June 22 through Aug. 10.

“I’ve always considered myself to be fairly savvy with social marketing and web design, but the Mastermind series has been absolutely eye-opening,” shared Amanda Furgiuele, owner of Body in Balance & The Pole Room in Lahaina.

Based on feedback from the Mastermind graduates, the summer session now includes Instagram training and workshop time. This allows students to take action right away with a pro nearby to answer questions and help them overcome challenges.
