Meeting to focus on slashing one of Maui businesses’ highest costs
KAHULUI – On Wednesday, March 22, at the Maui Beach Hotel in Kahului, Neighbor Island employers will gather for a one-day seminar focusing on cutting employers’ Workers’ Compensation insurance premiums and employee injuries and costs.
Featuring seven highly experienced, Hawaii-based guest speakers, each with expertise in their subject, the program’s main focus is on cost reduction.
Attendees will learn strategies for managing job-related stress claims, detecting and foiling Workers’ Comp fraud (including how to conduct effective and legally viable internal fraud investigations), strategies for returning injured employees to work when they are able, reducing the cost of vocational rehabilitation, and three ways employers can lower their Workers’ Comp insurance premiums, focusing on slashing employee injuries and the skyrocketing costs of healthcare.
The six-session program will be presented by attorneys and other experts in rehabilitation, return to work, insurance and safety. They will focus on understanding the laws that govern Workers’ Comp and offer multiple ways how employers can prevent and reduce accidents, as well as injury-related employee healthcare costs.
