Dean Otto joins KW Island Living

Dean Otto recently joined the Keller Williams Realty team in the KW Island Living, Maui Market Center. He will serve as the Maui director for Luxury Homes International and the director of the Keller Williams ultra-luxury brand, Portfolio.
WEST MAUI – Dean Otto, one of the country’s top-producing luxury real estate professionals, has left Sakamoto Properties after 17 years to join the Keller Williams Realty team in the KW Island Living, Maui Market Center.
“We’re excited to welcome Dean to the Keller Williams family,” said Lisa Teichner, principal broker and team leader of KW Island Living.
“At Keller Williams, we believe in succeeding through people, and having Dean on our team is a huge win for us.”
Otto was born and raised in South Africa. After high school and after completing his military service in a war on the Namibia/Angola border, he attended University of Oregon on a football scholarship to be a field-goal kicker. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and married his Maui-born college sweetheart. They moved to Maui to begin his real estate career in 1989.
Otto joins KW Island Living with approximately $100,000,000 in luxury West Maui listings and having personally sold over $400,000,000.
He will also serve as the Maui director for Luxury Homes International and the director of the Keller Williams ultra-luxury brand, Portfolio. The KW Luxury Homes International network includes many cutting-edge benefits for agents to promote their listings, including an international website that automatically translates listings into 19 different languages and 55 different currencies, and the Portfolio brand allows access to an exclusive network of mega-producer agents around the world.
This type of exposure will serve Otto in marketing Kapalua’s newest development, Mahana Estates. He is slated to launch the project as the listing agent this month.
“There is nothing on Maui quite like Mahana Estates,” said Otto “This stunning 51 custom-home subdivision bordering the Plantation Course redefines luxury.” (Visit www.mahanaestates.com for information.)
The KW Island Living Market Center, with its four locations in Kahului, Lahaina and Kaanapali (Whalers Village and The Fairway Shops), was established in 2015 and already has over 100 associates island-wide.
The brokerage currently has more listings than any other real estate company on Maui, and their agents have sold over $250 million in real estate in the last year.
