KAHULUI – Curious about electric vehicles (EV) and the benefits they can provide to you and the community? Join Maui Electric at its “Go EV” event on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Kahului location at 210 W. Kamehameha Avenue.

This free event will feature a complimentary EV ride and drive, informational booths, food and prizes.

“As we continue to help our state reach 100 percent renewable energy, we recognize that the electrification of transportation will also play a central role in reducing Maui County’s dependency on fossil fuels and protecting our environment,” said Sharon Suzuki, president of Maui Electric.

“As EV adoption continues to grow statewide, we wanted to help provide the opportunity for more people to experience and learn about this cutting-edge technology that can help drive us to a cleaner and greener future.”

During the event, attendees are invited to learn more about the benefits of EVs, including new financial incentives such as Maui Electric’s new Time of Use rates.

Guests are welcome to test drive EVs on the market and meet with EV enthusiasts and community partners JumpSmart Maui, Jim Falk Motors and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

American Savings Bank and Valley Isle Federal Credit Union will also be on hand with vehicle financing and alternative financing information.
