Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas’ food and beverage team honored
KAANAPALI – The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas was recently honored by Pacific Business News at the publication’s inaugural Pineapple Awards, which were held to celebrate excellence in the hospitality industry statewide.
The resort’s food and beverage team, led by Brandon Maeda, director of food and beverage; Francois Milliet, executive chef; and Cy Gabourie, director of restaurants and bars, won the Leadership in Food and Beverage Award.
The judges recognized the team for its commitment to the local community, sustainability efforts and its dedication to perpetuating the Hawaiian culture.
“Our food and beverage team takes great pride in leveraging the size of the resort to be a positive influence by supporting island sustainability and perpetuating the Hawaiian culture,” said Ryan Nobriga, the recently appointed general manager at The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas.

The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas was also a finalist in the Pineapple Awards’ Large Hotel of the Year category, and Angela Nolan, area managing director, Hawaii, Vistana Signature Experiences, who oversees all of the Vistana properties in the Hawaiian Islands, was a finalist in the Leadership in Hospitality Management category.
