Maui Hotel and Lodging Association installs new board at annual meeting
WAILUKU – On Sept. 12, the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association (MHLA) installed its 2016-17 Board of Directors at its annual meeting held at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa.
Mayor Alan Arakawa led the formal induction.
Board members are representatives of hotel properties and allied businesses that are MHLA members.
The board members are: Tony Bruno, Westin Maui Resort & Spa; Nancy Chaplick, Oceanic Time Warner Cable; Bill Countryman, Marriott Maui Ocean Club; Tom Donovan, Grand Wailea; Allan Farwell, Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa; Thomas Foti, Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa; Mufi Hanneman, Hawaii Lodging & Tourism Association; Richard Holtzman, Montage Kapalua Bay; Gregg Lundberg, Blue Hawaiian Helicopters; Gregg Nelson, Napili Kai Beach Resort; Angela Nolan, The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas; Lisa Paulson, Maui Hotel & Lodging Association; Greg Peros, Maui Beach Hotel; Aaron Placourakis, Tri-Star Restaurant Group; Sharon Suzuki, Maui Electric Company; Jean Claude Wietzel, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea; Mike White, Kaanapali Beach Hotel; and Tetsuji Yamazaki, Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.
The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association is a nonprofit organization founded in 1987 to advocate for the visitor industry. The organization also provides educational opportunities and scholarships, and gives back to the community through the annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk, Excellence in Education golf tournament and Kupuna Dinner.
