Ben Godsey, ProService Hawaii president and CEO, said ProService Hawaii represents more than 30,000 Hawaii employees.

HONOLULU – ProService Hawaii, the state’s largest human resources management firm, last week announced that it has acquired Hawaii Human Resources Inc. (HiHR), a subsidiary of The Hawaii Group.

The acquisition increases the number of Hawaii-based businesses served by ProService Hawaii to almost 2,000. The addition of HiHR’s 5,700 worksite employees to the 24,500 already represented by ProService Hawaii brings the total to more than 30,000 worksite employees served, with over $1.2 billion in payroll.

Ben Godsey, ProService Hawaii president and CEO, said, “The combination of this acquisition with the industry-leading HR services we have developed over the last ten years, and our deep team of talented business experts, means we now help nearly 2,000 Hawaii businesses succeed, grow and employ people in Hawaii.”

ProService Hawaii will maintain headquarters in Hawaii Kai and its additional offices in Kona, Kapaa and Kahului, and will retain HiHR’s offices in downtown Honolulu and Kailua-Kona. With the addition of HiHR’s employees, ProService’s workforce now totals more than 250 employees.

Scott Meichtry, chairman and CEO of HiHR, said, “We are proud of what we built over the past seven years, and are pleased to join ProService Hawaii in an acquisition that will ultimately better serve our clients and the Hawaii community. ProService Hawaii’s scale, depth of expertise, and excellent service culture will benefit our clients and HiHR employees, and allow The Hawaii Group to focus on our other subsidiaries which provide outsourced staffing, accounting, nursing and homecare in the marketplace.”
