Richards

WEST MAUI – Shannon Richards, MSN, RN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner with Doctors On Call, with locations in West Maui.

She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (1994) and worked in surgery before becoming a board-certified registered nurse first assistant, assisting in multiple specialties, including neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology and urology.

Richards earned a Master of Science in Nursing Degree in 2008 from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California; board certification as a family nurse practitioner; followed by four intense years of work in an inner city family practice clinic in Portland, Oregon.

Her family decided to fulfill a longtime dream of a life on Maui, so with her husband and 16-year-old son, they escaped the Portland rain. Hawaii life has been everything they hoped it would be.
