Goodwill Hawaii opens donation center

By Staff | Jul 14, 2016

KIHEI – Goodwill Hawaii has opened a new attended donation center (ADC) in Kihei at 115 E. Lipoa Place to serve the South Maui community.

The Kihei center is open seven days a week: Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Every year, Goodwill Hawaii collects more than 400,000 pounds of donations from the Maui community, which generates more than $450,000 in revenue to provide job training, career development and educational advancement assistance to more than 1,000 Valley Isle residents struggling to find work because of employment barriers.

In addition to the new Kihei location, Maui residents may drop off their gently used household items and clothing to any of the following Goodwill donation centers: Goodwill Hawaii Store and Donation Center, 250 Alamaha St., Suite N9, Kahului; Queen Ka’ahumanu Center in Kahului; and the Maui Disposal Redemption and Recycle Center at 60 Kanoa St. in Wailuku.
