LAHAINA – A brand new opportunity for residents and visitors alike to create their own Maui art is coming to Lahaina. Anita Marci Studios has teamed up with Mark Guerrera, hotel general manager of the historic Pioneer Inn, to present the very first Maui Paint Parties.

Starting on Wednesday, May 18, adults and children 14 and over are invited to enjoy painting, drinking and eating in a festive, party-style atmosphere at the Pioneer Inn located at 658 Wharf St. by Lahaina Harbor. Parties will be held every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the restaurant area.

All materials are included, and no experience is necessary. Bring your creativity and your desire for fun! Stretched canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, palettes and aprons will also be provided – everything you need to make your masterpiece! A different, original Maui-inspired painting by Marci will be featured every evening.

Marci is an acclaimed international artist who has earned nearly 50 awards – including the Top Emerging Artist Award from Art Business News Magazine – during her 30-year art career.

A Maui resident since January 2003, Marci has taught at The Art School at Kapalua, Hui No’eau Visual Arts Center, Maui Marriott Resort and Ocean Club and Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.

Marci has ten years of teaching experience here and in New York. She is returning to teaching after a nine-year hiatus.

Marci said, “I have always enjoyed teaching, and painting is such a great way to connect with your inner artist while also connecting with this beautiful island. Our guests will take home their very own Maui memories in a painting.”

Food and beverages may be purchased. Parties are $60 per person. A kama’aina discounted price of $50 is offered with the presentation of valid Hawaii State identification upon check-in. Advance reservations are required; visit www.anitatheartist.com/parties.
