Calling all classic cars — Show returning for April town party

LAHAINA – The Lahaina Second Friday Town Party on April 8 will feature one of the most anticipated events of the year: the fourth annual Classic Car Show & ’50s Rock and Roll Party.

This year, all the classic cars will be lined up along Front Street’s 600 and 700 blocks (Prison Street to Lahainaluna Road).

Classic car owners that want to sign up for the event can do so at www.visitlahaina.com, or call LahainaTown Action Committee at 667-9175. Space is limited to 100 cars, so sign up soon.

The event will be broadcast via live remote from Campbell Park with KONI 104.7 and Joe Hawkins. Jimmy Mac and the Cool Cats will be perform.

Trophies and Cool Cat Cafe gift certificates will be awarded in three categories, plus the Best in Show prize of $500 cash.

The event is co-sponsored by LahainaTown Action Committee, Cool Cat Cafe and the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development.
