WEST MAUI – Doctors on Call recently welcomed Martha “Mel” Lindsey to its staff.

A certified physician assistant (PA-C), Lindsey earned her undergraduate degree in Physical Education with a Certificate in Athletic Training from Cal State Long Beach in 1984. She completed her physician assistant training at Western University of Health Sciences in 1995.

Since moving to Maui in 1999, she has been working as a physician assistant in family practice/urgent care with Maui Medical Group.

Lindsey has over 40 years of experience in medicine as a medical assistant, EMT, athletic trainer and physician assistant specializing in emergency medicine, gynecology, family practice and urgent care.

She has been fortunate to have the opportunity to spend several months a year in New Zealand – where she and her husband have permanent residency – but Maui is their first home.

Her hobbies include lap swimming, boogie boarding, surfing, sailing, gardening and getting together with friends. However, taking care of and treating the local community as well as the tourists here on Maui is her true passion.
