KAANAPALI – Duke’s Beach House recently presented the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation with a donation of $2,832 as part of the Localicious, Dine Out Maui program.

Localicious is a Maui chefs’ initiative to grow the next generation of farmers and ranchers on Maui. With funds raised for this program, Localicious gives back to the community through agriculture student scholarships and farm grants.

A portion of the proceeds from the Farm Salad during the months of April, May and June was donated by Duke’s Beach House to the program.

“We are so proud to be part of the Localicious Maui program, which provides essential assistance to our local agriculture community,” said KC Hendrickson, Duke’s Beach House community relations coordinator.

“Duke’s is committed to using locally sourced ingredients, and through the sale of our Farm Salad, we are able to further support our Maui farmers.”

Throughout 2015, Duke’s Beach House will donate a portion of the proceeds on a featured salad, made with Maui grown produce, to Localicious Maui.

The featured salad will be denoted by the Growing Future Farmers logo on the menu. For more information, call (808) 662-2900 or visit www.dukesmaui.com.
