Duke’s Beach House recognizes staff at Princess Nahi‘ena‘ena Elementary School
KAANAPALI – Duke’s Beach House recently recognized Desirae Kapuras, Eileen Medvec and Lora-Lea LaMarre of Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary School as the “Educator of the Month” for March, April and May, respectively.
Each honoree was nominated for outstanding work and dedication to the school.
Kapuras, a fourth grade teacher and grade level chairperson, was acknowledged for being a strong leader and a team player. She is described as always willing to lend a hand and being very supportive of her students.
Medvec, a third grade English Language Learner (ELL) teacher, was nominated for being an active role model to her students and colleagues. Medvec was recognized for assisting in all school testing areas and for demonstrating kindness, safety and responsibility daily.
LaMarre, academic coach, was selected for her ongoing support and dedication to the teachers and students. She is well-known for her Parent Nights and events to support the school, and for always going above and beyond to bring the school faculty and families together.
“Duke’s Beach House is honored to recognize the success and hard work of the Princess Nahi’ena’ena staff and their dedication to the children in our community,” said Amber Allen, Duke’s Beach House assistant general manager.

Kapuras, Medvec and LaMarre were each presented with an engraved koa box and a $100 gift certificate to Duke’s Beach House as recipients of the award.
