Kapalua Golf appoints new director of sales and marketing
KAPALUA – Kapalua Golf recently announced the appointment of Kelly Burke as director of sales and marketing.
Kapalua Golf includes the oceanfront Bay Course, Plantation Course, Kapalua Golf Academy and Kapalua Tennis.
Burke will oversee group, event and tournament sales for the Plantation and Bay Courses, along with marketing initiatives related to the award-winning Kapalua Golf Academy and Kapalua Tennis operations.
Burke brings experience in both golf event management and professional sales.
Prior to joining the Kapalua team, she was a marketing and sales representative for Starwood Vacations in Lahaina.
A resident of Maui County for the past year, Burke gained valuable sales experience prior to her relocation to the Valley Isle as a biopharmaceutical sales representative for Amgen in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She also gained sales and marketing experience at The Sporting Club at The Bellevue in Philadelphia, and BAC Sports Management.
Her golf event background includes stints at the 2009 PGA Championship at Hazeltine in Chaska, Minnesota as a special project manager and as a customer service representative at the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines in San Diego, California.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Sports Management, specializing in golf marketing, from Neumann University and a Bachelor’s Degree from the Catholic University of America.
