Sheraton Maui promotes Eaton to director of public relations

KAANAPALI – The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa has promoted Alexis Eaton to director of public relations. In this role, she will lead the communications efforts and media relations, as well as oversee the social media efforts for the Sheraton Maui and the resort’s five restaurants.
“Alexis has been a great asset to the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa,” said Susan Havens, the director of sales and marketing at the resort. “Over the past two-and-one-half years, Alexis has shown great leadership within the management team, and we are pleased to promote her to director of public relations. Alexis’s strong marketing and communication skills will continue to position the resort for great success.”
Eaton began her career with Starwood in 2012 as public relations manager. She serves as co-chairperson for the Maui Chapter of Na Wahine Kulima, a Starwood Hawaii organization of women in leadership roles working to support the diversity initiative for the advancement of women.
Eaton has a strong background in marketing and communications, having served in several leadership roles, including director of development and marketing for Cabrillo Music Theatre, a nonprofit musical theatre company in Southern California.
Eaton earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Masters in Business Administration from California Lutheran University.
