Queen Ka‘ahumanu Center completes renovation of Ka‘ahumanu 6 theater
KAHULUI – Queen Ka’ahumanu Center last week announced the completion of a year-long update to its Ka’ahumanu 6 theater complex, including an all-digital upgrade to its sound and projection system, new auditorium seating, carpet, drapes and more.
Each auditorium in the six-screen theater offers new, over-sized seating featuring more than 21 inches of seat width and built-in drink holders. Additional auditorium upgrades include new carpet, wall drapes and enhanced aisle illumination.
In the lobby, digital monitors have been added to the concession area, and new carpet was installed. Wall vinyl was replaced both in the lobby and throughout the auditorium corridor.
The completion of the auditorium and lobby enhancements come on the heels of the theater’s 2014 all-digital projection and sound equipment upgrade, and represents a total investment of more than a million dollars into enhancing the movie-going experience at Ka’ahumanu 6.
Ka’ahumanu 6 is managed by Consolidated Theatres.
