HIC Surf Outlets will celebrate its Grand Opening at The Outlets of Maui in Lahaina on Saturday, Feb. 14.

LAHAINA – The Outlets of Maui (TOOM) in Lahaina, the world’s only outlet shopping center with an oceanfront location, will celebrate HIC Surf Outlets’ Grand Opening on Saturday, Feb. 14.

HIC Surf Outlet joined TOOM’s world-class array of more than 30 renowned retailers and dining options last month.

For its Grand Opening celebration, HIC Surf Outlet will host surf riders from the pro teams for Hurley, Volcom and Dakine.

Light food fanfare will accompany the free autograph session from noon to 3 p.m., along with exceptional promotions for that weekend only.

“The Outlets of Maui is excited to welcome HIC Surf Outlet to our family of global and Hawaii-based outlet retailers,” said Mona Abadir, principal of The Outlets of Maui.

“Its strong worldwide surf appeal is the perfect complement of this unique, one-of-a-kind oceanfront outlet shopping center,” continued Abadir.

The Outlets of Maui location is HIC’s second outlet store in the Hawaiian Islands.

In related news, the Raapoto School of Tahiti Music and Dance will do a special performance in front of Hilo Hattie at The Outlets of Maui on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from noon to 1:30 p.m., with a special guest appearance by celebrity actor Braunscombe Richmond as the host.

Located on Front Street in the former Lahaina Center space between Papalaua and Wainee streets, The Outlets of Maui is Maui’s only outlet shopping center. Hours of operation are Monday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (restaurants and holiday hours may vary).

Through the end of February, guests can enjoy four hours of free parking with the Dine & Shop promotion (validations available only at restaurants). Guests are allowed two hours of parking validation with purchase.

The Outlets of Maui’s shopping bus shuttle operates daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. between the center, select West Maui resorts and Lahaina Harbor.
