Body in Balance Pilates Studio has a new retail shop. The studio’s new Shopping Sunday Event debuts on Jan. 25.

LAHAINA – Body in Balance Pilates Studio, the boutique fitness studio located in Emerald Plaza, last week announced the opening of a new retail shop, filling the West Maui void for fun, exciting fitness ware and gear.

“Body in Balance offers an array of unique, won’t-find-anywhere-else lines,” said Amanda Furgiuele, co-owner.

“The brands are young, on trend and fun! This is the perfect, out-of-the-way spot for fashion forward, yet discerning shoppers. We feature fitness must-haves like yoga mats, protein powders and hair ties, as well as clothing and local vendors that will be your new favorites.”

Furgiuele’s direction for this shopping boutique is to have an eclectic mix of fashion brands for the young and progressive shopper, as well as wellness essentials for everyone.

Her mission is to give another option for the West Maui fitness enthusiast who is tired of driving to the other side of the island for mainstream retailers, wants quality fitness apparel and gear for recreation or races, and is looking for something new.

“I am thrilled to debut this boutique with all my favorite brands – Onzie, Think Positive, Be Love, Teeki, DoTerra, Isagenix, Gaiam, Younique Cosmetics, Cosabella, Glyder, Ali`i Kula Lavender, Jala, Electric + Rose, BucketFeet – and a multitude of local designers and artists, all in one place,” she continued.

“Shoppers will discover goods for daily use, like lotions, therapeutic-grade oils, organic cleaning products, and nutritional items; fun finds like sassy yoga mats and lively printed shirts and pants; and one-of-a-kind artist features.”

Body in Balance is dedicated to promoting small, local and often woman-owned businesses. With that in mind, they are debuting their shop with a new, monthly sale showcase.

Body in Balance, located at 142 Kupuohi St., F2, in Emerald Plaza, will host a Shopping Sunday Event on the last Sunday of every month from 3 to 5 p.m., starting Jan. 25.

“We really want to give local artists and vendors a place to display their wares to a captive audience, so the last Sunday of every month, we feature five or six different vendors in studio to showcase their art, clothing, designs and products. It’s open to the public, and anyone who purchases on this day will receive special discounts available Shopping Sunday only,” Furgiuele said.
