Duke’s Beach House announces winners of Holiday T-Shirt Design Contests
KAANAPALI – Duke’s Beach House recently announced the winners of its third annual Holiday T-Shirt Design Contests at its Fifth Anniversary Party. The restaurant named Areli Medina of Lahainaluna High School and Rachelle Wilson as winners in the Adult Holiday T-Shirt Design Contest.
David Jackson of Princess Nahienaena Elementary School was named the winner of the Keiki Holiday T-Shirt Design Contest.
Medina and Wilson each received $300, and their designs were incorporated into a limited edition holiday adult T-shirt.
Jackson was awarded a $100 restaurant voucher and $500 for his school. Lynn Kaho’ohalahala, Princess Nahienaena Elementary School principal, accepted the check on behalf of the school.
“We are so excited to involve the community in the creation of our annual holiday T-shirts,” said Logo & Sportswear Manager Lauren Kiek. “The designs submitted are always so creative, and we were so happy to be able to recognize our winners and finalists at our Fifth Anniversary Party.”
The holiday T-shirts are available for purchase at the Duke’s logo wear counter. The adult shirt is $29.50 and available in both men’s and women’s sizes. The keiki holiday shirt is available for $22.95.
Honorable mention keiki winners each received $25 vouchers for the restaurant. They are Dhestinie Bolante and Nathaniel Redaus of Princess Nahienaena Elementary School; Casey Talana of Lahaina Intermediate School; Gretchen Olson, Nolita Samisoni and Joley Sadang of King Kamehameha III Elementary School; Claire Jacobi of St. Patrick’s School in Wisconsin; and Moseley Morrison of California Middle School.
