Caregivers Maui provides personalized in-home care

By Staff | Sep 4, 2014

Caregivers Maui is a private Hawaii corporation established in 2013 with the mission to deliver responsive, personalized in-home care through compassionate staff and innovative technology.

WAILUKU – Caregivers Maui, a locally owned and operated, private duty nursing company on Maui, is now accepting clients.

The affiliate company of Hale Makua Health Services delivers responsive, personalized in-home care through compassionate staff and innovative technology under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Caregivers Maui offers quality, private home care services to people of all ages and will customize each client’s plan of care based on their needs.

“Hale Makua Health Services is very excited to be affiliated with Caregivers Maui, as we often receive calls from individuals asking for help with personal care, which our skilled care Home Health Care Agency doesn’t provide,” said Hale Makua Health Services CEO Tony Krieg.

“Between the two companies, we are now able to provide the Maui community with a full continuum of quality healthcare services. Hale Makua Health Services programs assist individuals in recovering from surgery, injury or illness, and Caregivers Maui provides in-home companion and caregiver services.”

All Caregivers Maui care providers are insured, first aid- and CPR-certified, and have passed criminal, drug and background checks.

Caregivers are assigned based on their skills and their ability to meet a client’s specific health needs. A client’s care can vary from standby assistance with activities of daily living, light housekeeping and companionship, to help with meal preparation and dining, medication compliance and coping with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

Clients who may require more specialized care could include individuals who are bed-bound, need assistance with blood glucose monitoring, or help with basic G-tube feeding.

In order to serve clients in the most efficient and cost-effective way, Caregivers Maui utilizes the latest in technologies, iHealthHome, to monitor, track, document and deliver care.

iHealthHome is included in Caregivers Maui’s services, giving family and friends the ability to monitor healthcare activities remotely. In addition, iHealthHome is a touch screen computer that allows clients to easily video chat with family and friends and play games that help with cognitive activity.

Caregivers Maui’s office is located at 1885 Main St., Suite 107, in Wailuku. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and by appointment.

Caregivers are available to provide care throughout the island of Maui 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
