Duke’s Beach House honors faculty at Princess Nahi‘ena‘ena Elementary School

KAANAPALI – Duke’s Beach House recently recognized Bill Rathfon, Francesca Minusculo and Sandra Mahuna-Kukahiko of Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary School as Educator of the Month for March, April and May, respectively.

Selected by their peers, the dedicated staff members were recognized for their outstanding work and commitment to the students.

Rathfon, a part-time teacher who assists with the technology needs at the school, was acknowledged for going above and beyond to help the students and teachers. Rathfon is described as an invaluable member of the team who works late to make sure that computer problems are fixed for the school.

Educational Assistant Minusculo was selected for her great work ethic and compassionate nature. Working with the special needs students, she is a dedicated team player who never misses a day of school.

Mahuna-Kukahiko, a fifth grade teacher, was praised for being patient and hardworking in and out of the classroom. She provides great collaborative work with her team and the school.

“We are so proud to be able to honor the staff members at Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary School,” said Tyler Brown, Duke’s Beach House bar service manager. “These educators are providing invaluable support and a solid foundation for our keiki.”

Each award recipient was presented with an engraved koa box and a $100 gift certificate to Duke’s Beach House.
