Cohn Restaurant Group announces new hires at Pineapple Grill and Plantation House
KAPALUA – The Cohn Restaurant Group last week announced new hires at both of its Kapalua restaurant locations: The Plantation House Restaurant and Pineapple Grill.
Chad Hubbard has been appointed assistant general manager at The Plantation House Restaurant.
He brings to the Cohn Restaurant Group a wealth of food and wine experience, including several management positions at Wolfgang Puck’s Restaurants Spago, Five Sixty in Dallas and “the source” in Washington, D.C.
A graduate of North Texas University, Hubbard has earned Court of Master Sommeliers Level I certification.
Michael Cook joined the Pineapple Grill team as a manager. He has a wealth of food and beverage experience in the hospitality industry.
Most recently, Cook worked for John Ash & Co. in Santa Rosa, CA, part of the Ferrari-Carano Winery family business. Prior to that, he held food and beverage management positions at Bodega Bay Lodge & Spa and Santa Rosa Country Club. He has a degree from Western Culinary Institute in Portland.
Jeffrey Rayno joined Pineapple Grill’s culinary staff as PM Sous Chef.
He comes to Pineapple Grill from the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, where he worked his way up in the Banyan Tree as a line cook to a saucier position to most recently the club floor chef.
Rayno is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY.
Beginning with one small diner in 1981, Cohn Restaurant Group now owns and operates 17 restaurants within the San Diego area and two locations on Maui.
