Free keiki chiropractic clinic set
LAHAINA – On Saturday, Feb. 8, from noon to 1 p.m. at Ocean LightForce Chiropractic in Lahaina, Dr. Pat McLean and Dr. Mike McLean will offer a free chiropractic clinic for Maui keiki.
These free clinics will be held on the second Saturday of each month.
According to Pat, “Children need to be checked and adjusted, because they are growing, being injured and often have a hard time adjusting to stress.
“Being little, they often lack the communication skills to tell you that they have a headache, or that their stomach hurts. They simply cry, act unreasonably upset or are distracted easily. Frequently, social, athletic or educational development is interrupted or delayed. They may have a subluxation and nerve interference, which can be helped by our gentle chiropractic adjustment.”
Bedwetting, allergies, skin conditions, learning problems and nightly “growing pains” may simply be injuries from birth trauma, accidents, athletic contact or falls, the doctors noted.
Keiki are active and do not have fully developed pain nerves until 18 or 19 years old. When they complain about pain, headaches or neck and back pain, it means they are really hurting.
The office is located in Dickenson Square, 180 Dickenson St., Suite 205.
