MHLA buys six Trek Bicycles for Maui Police Department

WAILUKU – The Maui Hotel & Lodging Association (MHLA) board recently presented a check for $5,321.45 to Maui Police Department for the purchase of six Trek Bicycles for use in the Lahaina District.

The bicycles will be used to patrol streets on the West Side. Present to receive the check were Chief Gary Yabuta, Lt. Derrick Lopez and Officer Tim Hodgens.

Lisa Paulson, executive director of MHLA, said, “Giving back to the community is an integral part of our organization, and we hope to make a difference with this donation to our police force, who works tirelessly to protect our island and its residents.”
