Kapalua Golf Courses appoints new director of sales & marketing

KAPALUA – Kapalua Golf Courses last week announced the appointment of Debbie Rasar as director of sales and marketing.

She will oversee sales and marketing initiatives for the Plantation and Bay Courses, as well as the Kapalua Golf Academy and Kapalua Tennis.

Rasar most recently served as public relations and account manager for Gilbert & Associates advertising agency.

Prior to joining Gilbert & Associates, she was the Hawaii director of Book Trust, a nonprofit literary agency responsible for raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to support children’s literacy programs throughout the state.

Rasar has extensive knowledge of the Kapalua Resort area, having previously served as the advertising coordinator for Kapalua Marketing, the in-house advertising agency for Kapalua Land Company.

In her role at Kapalua Marketing, she worked on many Kapalua Resort projects, including marketing for Kapalua Golf.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Debbie’s caliber join the Kapalua Golf team. Debbie has an in-depth knowledge of not only the Kapalua area but also tourism and hospitality in Hawaii. Her depth of marketing and sales knowledge will help us to continue to elevate the Troon/Kapalua Golf experience,” said Mike Jones, general manager and director of golf.
