New condo news site celebrates Kaanapali

LAHAINA – Voices of Maui Talk Story LLC has launched KaanapaliCondoNews.com, a new website designed to help condo owners, residents and visitors become better informed to increase their enjoyment of Kaanapali Beach Resort.
The independently produced site features a lively photo of the day, showcases special or little-known events, includes news snippets and offers expert opinion on how to improve condominium living.
KCN publisher Norm Bezane said the new site will provide a daily fix for Mainlanders who love Kaanapali but are away while providing a daily forum for locals who want to join the conversation.
Kaanapali amenities have grown so much in recent years that it makes sense to offer condo owners and residents a journalism-based site for those who often don’t take full advantage of what is just beyond the beach, he explained.
“Don’t go here if you want to see pictures of sunsets or people eating in restaurants like you find on Facebook, but do become a follower if you enjoy seeing provocative photos of unusual happenings,” said Bezane.
Recent coverage includes preparations for last month’s tropical storm, a dozen photos of the return of the voyaging canoe Hokule’a to Honolua Bay,
and the recent celebration at Lahaina Harbor showing taro planting.
Viewership of the new site is already soaring with 180 followers and more than 2,000 views in just a short time.
“This is your site,” Bezane noted on the opening page. KCN will offer polls, publish good photos from followers with photo credits, highlight volunteer opportunities and accept articles and commentary written in good taste.
The site also has an issues section to cover one of the island’s most untold stories: “overzealousness of condominium boards and the need to make condominiums more neighborly,” he stated.
The first five followers who send in publishable material will be mailed debut copies of “Voices of Aloha,” a new Kaanapali-related book now available for purchase in the Kaanapali Beach Hotel deli shop.
Readers can Google Kaanapali Condo News and find the site at the top of the page, or go to KaanapaliCondoNews.com
The site’s news tabs include events, news and condo community building ideas.
