Rotary Club of Lahaina President Art Ortiz (left) and Joe Pluta are challenging golfers to compete in the golf scramble fundraiser.

KAANAPALI – The Rotary Club of Lahaina will hold a giant golf scramble fundraiser at the Kaanapali Kai Golf Course on Oct. 26 to raise funds for Maui youth and to push forward the fight to end polio.

The tournament will have an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Four-member teams will vie for prizes awarded for closest to the pin, low gross (men and women), low net (men and women) and overall top team.

The club seeks tournament sponsors, hole sponsors for $150 each, and players who will pay $100 each. The golf fee includes a party and prize presentation at Paradise Grill after the tournament.

Proceeds will be used to provide scholarships to Maui County high school students and to fund Rotary International’s decades-long campaign to eradicate polio from the planet.

Sponsor and golf reservations can be made by printing a form available on the club’s website, www.rotarycluboflahaina.com, and mailing or e-mailing it in.
