WAILUKU – On June 18, Maui Hotel & Lodging Association (MHLA) purchased an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) from Cycle City Maui and presented it to the Maui Police Department, Kihei District.

The ATV will be used to patrol the shoreline from Makena to Maalaea.

On-hand to receive the new ATV were Capt. Tivoli S. Faaumu, Sgt. Tod Wong and Officer Ryan Ehlers from the Kihei District.

“Maui Hotel & Lodging Association is pleased to provide this ATV to the Maui Police Department,” said Lisa Paulson, MHLA executive director.

“Giving back to the community is an integral part of our organization, and we hope to make a difference with this donation to our police force, who works tirelessly to protect our island and its residents.”
