By Staff | May 30, 2013

With seaside and rooftop dining, visitors can take in the incredible scenery for a unique dining experience at Koa’s Seaside Grill.

LAHAINA – Koa’s Seaside Grill will hold its grand opening celebration on Saturday, June 1.

Located in the heart of historic Lahaina Town at 839 Front St. in the old fish store building, Koa’s grand opening celebration is open to the public from 3 to 5:30 p.m.

Ten percent of the full day’s proceeds will go to the Maui Preparatory Academy Scholarship Fund.

“We are really excited for everyone to join us for our grand opening celebration,” said General Manager Buff Weaver.

“We aim to make Koa’s Seaside Grill a place where everyone can relax at this incredible Lahaina location on the water while enjoying great food at reasonable prices. The Koa’s team wants all that join us to feel like a guest in our home.”

Started by seasoned Maui restaurateurs Jerry and Lucy Corson, Koa’s Seaside Grill offers breakfast, lunch and dinner coupled with great views of Molokai and Lanai.

Longtime Maui residents and visitors may recognize some familiar fare on the breakfast menu.

Jerry and Lucy own a popular breakfast spot, the Gazebo restaurant in Napili, and they have brought the entire breakfast menu to Koa’s.

Guests can enjoy the Gazebo’s breakfast menu from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., including Mac Nut Specialty Pancakes, Gazebo Fried Rice and their world-famous omelets.

Lunch is also offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features tasty treats such as pulled pork sandwiches, fish and chips, a Maui meat loaf sandwich, specialty salads, oysters on the half shell, steamer clams, baked brie and fruit, calamari strips and much more.

Koa’s Seaside Grill’s dinner service allows visitors to catch the sunset while dining on three types of fresh fish, filet mignon, roasted prime rib, seafood pastas, Maui meat loaf, scallops, scampi and more. Dinner can be topped off with a piece of Koa’s Pie made with a macadamia nut graham cracker crust, Roselani’s banana and vanilla ice cream, bananas brulee, caramel and chocolate.

Happy Hour at Koa’s is offered daily from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and features meat loaf sliders and street tacos, both two for $6, and $2 off glassed wine, draft beer and well drinks.

“We wanted to bring some of the Gazebo food and love to this prime Front Street oceanside location. We could only do this with the help and guidance of our Managing Partner and General Manager, Buff Weaver,” Jerry explained.

“Between my wife, Lucy, Buff and myself, we have over 35 years of experience bringing good grinds to Maui locals and visitors. We’re excited to take on Front Street and offer this incredible location for guests to enjoy.”

Koa’s Seaside Grill is open every day of the week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Weddings and private parties are welcome. To make reservations, call 667-7737.
