There are more than 70 Flip Flop Shops in operation and 110-plus in the development pipeline.

KAANAPALI – Flip Flop Shops – North America’s first retail chain exclusive to the hottest brands and latest styles of flip flops, sandals and “slippahs” – opened its first Maui location last week Friday at Whalers Village.

The new shop carries the latest styles from leading brands such as Sanuk, Reef, Cobian, Quiksilver, Roxy and OluKai.

The new shop joins two locations in Honolulu and is the first of four additional shops planned to open across the islands within the next three years.

This is the third location for owners Charles and Hayley Gadalla, who also own the locations in Roseville and Irvine, California and are opening another location in Maui within the next two years.

Flip Flop Shops began franchising in January 2008 and continues to be recognized by industry leaders as one of the fastest-growing franchises and retailers in the nation.
