LAHAINA – Chef Paris Nabavi, owner of Cilantro Mexican Grill in Lahaina, will host a fundraiser for the Lahainaluna High School Agricultural Program on Cinco de Mayo, Sunday, May 5.

A portion of all sales that day will benefit the LHS garden program.

Keith Ideoka, who manages the program at Lahainaluna, was thrilled to hear about the benefit.

“I have always wished for something like this to happen to our program. I always tell my students that when we give – do volunteer work or donate plants to other school garden programs or non-profits – we will have an abundance of gifts from people who want to help us,” he said.

There will also be a special coupon and other surprises on Cilantro’s Facebook page for Cinco de Mayo. Go to cilantrogrill.com/cinco-de-mayo-coupon/ to print out the coupon and see other promotions.

The coupon is valid for $2 off purchases of $15 or more. Customers can print out the coupon to bring in or show it on their smart phone to receive the offer.

Making a special appearance on the menu only on Cinco de Mayo will be the popular Chicken Mole Enchilada. Other specialties of the house include the Cheese Chile Relleno, award-winning Mother Clucker Flautas, Chipotle Citrus Rotisserie Chicken and a variety of combination plates.

Cilantro Mexican Grill is located in Old Lahaina Center at 170 Papalaua St. Call 667-5444 or visit www.cilantrogrill.com.
