Labonte named Maui County’s ‘Small Businessperson of the Year’

HONOLULU – Ardent Management Consulting President Brandon LaBonte has been named the U.S. Small Business Administration, Hawaii District’s “Maui County Small Businessperson of the Year.”
Founded in 2006, Ardent is a Small Business Administration-certified HUBZone firm with offices in Virginia and Hawaii.
The firm provides comprehensive geospatial situational awareness technology solutions to the federal government, ranging from custom-developed common operating pictures to commercial off-the-shelf-based mobile event management systems.
LaBonte was selected for this award, in part, for the job creation he has brought to Maui’s high-technology sector and bringing federal contracting dollars to Maui.
Ardent has created 30 new high-tech positions in the past two years. The firm has also doubled the amount of revenue in two years and has secured multiple-year contracts with the federal government to diversify Maui’s economy and offer career options that enable kama’aina to stay on Maui or return from the Mainland.
