KAANAPALI – Duke’s Beach House last week named Hannah Sheveland of King Kamehameha III Elementary School as the winner of its Keiki Holiday T-Shirt Design Contest.

The T-shirt is now on sale at the restaurant.

Sheveland received a $100 restaurant voucher and $500 for her school.

Stephanie Schobel, an art teacher at King Kamehameha III Elementary, accepted the check on behalf of the school.

“We had so much fun with this Keiki T-Shirt Design Contest,” said Logo & Sportswear Manager Lauren Kiek.

“The kids submitted really great artwork, and we were thrilled to be able to recognize our winner and the honorable mentions at our recent Henry Kapono concert!”

The winning design features six surfboards standing in the sand with presents at the base of each and the word “Duke’s” spelled out across the boards.

The shirt, available to purchase at the Duke’s logo wear counter, is priced at $19.

Honorable mention winners each received $25 vouchers for the restaurant: Summer Pierre, Amarissa Perez and Luana Opunani of King Kamehameha III Elementary School, and Quelsy Amber Borce and Hau Yin Lau of Princess Nahienaena Elementary School.

The restaurant also has adult holiday T-shirts available in men’s sizes for $25. For information, call 662-2900 or visit www.dukesmaui.com.
