Nakamura

WAILUKU – Carlayna Nakamura has joined the Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation as its development coordinator.

Nakamura will coordinate fundraising efforts for the foundation, including grant writing, annual giving, corporate sponsorships and special events.

Nakamura earned Masters Degrees in Nursing and Public Health from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Before joining the Maui Memorial Medical Center Foundation, Nakamura served as director of development at Hale Makua Health Services for 11 years.

“We are thrilled to welcome Carlayna to our team,” said MMMC Foundation Executive Director Lisa Varde.

“Her extensive fundraising experience and healthcare background is a perfect match for us, and will allow the MMMC Foundation to make an even greater impact on the quality of healthcare for Maui residents.”

The foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare by supporting the needs of Maui Memorial Medical Center.
