KAANAPALI – Duke’s Beach House recently donated just over $1,400 to Women Helping Women, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help end domestic violence through advocacy, education and prevention, and to offer safety, support and empowerment to women and children that are victims of domestic violence.

The funds were raised through the restaurant’s Legacy of Aloha program, which collected a portion of the proceeds from the restaurant’s nightly Duke’s Tasting Menu from April through June 2012.

“Our Legacy of Aloha program makes it possible for us to fulfill Duke Kahanamoku’s creed to share aloha with others,” said Duke’s and TS Restaurants representative Chris Thibaut.

“Women Helping Women is fighting for something that every woman and child deserves – a safe and loving family environment – and we proudly support their efforts.”

The Chef’s Tasting Menu is offered nightly from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. in the main dining room. The three-course menu includes a pupu, entre and dessert for just $25.95 per person.

The beneficiary of the Duke’s Tasting Menu from July through September 2012 will be Feed My Sheep Maui. Restaurant employees are also donating volunteer hours to the organization.
