LAHAINA – Old Lahaina Luau hosted its annual Senior Bingo New Year’s celebration at the West Maui Senior Center in Lahaina on Wednesday, Jan. 25.

More than 80 kupuna from the West Side joined in on the yearly celebration filled with food, fun and prizes.

The morning started with some delicious sushi, Mochiko Chicken and nishime, followed by the main attraction: BINGO!

This year, Old Lahaina Luau had one grand prize of a trip for two to Las Vegas. Every senior had a chance to win with “black out” bingo.

With only a few numbers left to be called, the excitement from the kupuna filled the room.

Then it happened – “BINGO” was yelled by two winners.

Old Lahaina Luau partners Michael Moore, Robert Aguiar and Tim Moore awarded both winners a trip for two to Las Vegas.

Wanda Kitaguchi and Ronald Togashi won this year’s grand prize.

Every senior took home a prize, ranging from rice cookers to gift certificates from the Old Lahaina Luau ‘ohana (Aloha Mixed Plate, Star Noodle and Leoda’s Kitchen & Pie Shop).
