Maui WiRE to host Gov. Neil Abercrombie

KAHULUI – Maui women are invited to join the newly-formed local chapter of Women in Renewable Energy (WiRE) for a Q&A luncheon featuring special guest Gov. Neil Abercrombie on Thursday, Feb. 9, at the Class Act Restaurant at the University of Hawaii Maui College from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WiRE is a networking association for women helping to create a sustainable Hawaii powered by clean energy.

It is an inclusive group, comprised of women active in the various sectors of renewable energy, as well as those who may support the cause through activities or work in related fields.

The luncheon is $14 for members and $18 for nonmembers and includes a three-course lunch provided by the Maui Culinary Academy.
