More than 200 volunteers planted, painted and created a new garden at King Kamehameha III Elementary School.

LAHAINA – During the fall break, King Kamehameha III Elementary School was given a well-appreciated facelift by a large group on Maui for a convention at the Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua.

In the service project, volunteers laid sod and pavers where grass would not grow, some areas on campus were repainted and a brand new garden area was created!

About 200 people in the group – which asked to remain anonymous – volunteered their time to give back to the school’s “wonderful little campus, and for that we are extremely grateful,” noted Claire Tillman, King Kamehameha III School’s Parent Community Networking Center facilitator.
