Center hosts business workshops
KAHULUI – The Maui County Business Resource Center at Maui Mall hosts free brown bag lunch workshops.
Center workshops are held from noon to 1 p.m.
“How to give and get referrals” by Dr. Robert Santry is slated for Thursday, Oct. 20.
This workshop will show you how to give referrals to your business neighbors and how to get referrals from your colleagues and satisfied customers. Santry will provide attendees with a referral campaign plan template.
Nothing markets better than a referral. When your products and services meet or exceed customer expectations and bring solutions to their problems, you are a candidate for one or more referrals.
Happy customers tell perspective customers about you and recommend you as a provider. Conversely, referrals drop off dramatically if you perform poor services and provide poor products.
Santry serves as CEO, master coach and consultant for Life & Success Adventures. He enjoys helping people discover passion and purpose and turn it into a profit-making business.
“How to promote your product or business at trade shows, craft fairs, farmers’ markets and other public venues” with Steve Rose will be held Tuesday, Oct. 25
In today’s economy, where advertising costs can be prohibitive to small businesses to reach new customers, trade shows, craft fairs, farmers’ markets and other public events can be the low-cost way to expand business or introduce a new product or service to new customers – both retail and wholesale.
In this free workshop, Maui Business Enrichment Consultant and SCORE Counselor Steve Rose – who has over 35 years of experience doing these types of events, both on Maui and the Mainland – will explore the many options and give the basics on how to prepare and hold a successful event for your business.
“QuickBooks for Small Business” with Richard Kehoe, CPA, will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. The fee is $45 per session.
Learn to set up your company’s QuickBooks in a small class setting with personalized tutoring.
This class for new users will teach you how to record sales, receive payments, prepare invoices and balance your checkbook.
