KAANAPALI — The Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa has named Bianca Rodas its public relations manager.

She is responsible for providing assistance to local and national media, and managing the resort’s presence on the Internet and social media.

“We are very excited and pleased to have someone as talented and creative as Bianca join our team,” said Tetsuji Yamazaki, general manager of the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.

“Her prior experience in the industry with multiple brands and destinations will be a great success to the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.”

Rodas recently served as food and beverage manager at Makena Beach & Golf Resort.

Prior to moving to Maui, she worked with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and served as guest relations supervisor at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Rodas graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dramatic History, Literature and Theory.

She has more than six years of experience in the hospitality industry.
