Economists to speak at Maui County Business Outlook Forum

KAHULUI — Top Hawaii economists will offer forecasts for Maui County, the state, and the U.S. and global economies at First Hawaiian Bank’s 37th annual Maui County Business Outlook Forum on 2012 Economic Forecasts.
The forum is set for Friday, Sept. 16, in the Maui Beach Hotel’s Elleair Rainbow Room.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and the presentation at 8:30 a.m.
Dr. Leroy Laney, professor of economics and finance at Hawaii Pacific University and First Hawaiian Bank’s Economic Advisor, will present the “2012 Economic Forecast for Maui County and the State.”
Dr. Jack Suyderhoud, professor of business economics at Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, will present his 2012 forecast for the U.S. and global economies.
