KAANAPALI — Duke’s Beach House recently recognized Sandy Kukahiko and Lillian Catugal of Princess Nahi’ena’ena Elementary School as “Faculty and Staff Members of the Month” for December and January, respectively.
Kukahiko and Catugal were selected based on their outstanding performance and long-standing commitment to the school and its students.
Kukahiko, a third grade teacher, was named the December “Educator of the Month.” Kukahiko has worked as a teacher for 26 years, including ten years at Princess Nahi’ena’ena.
Her most memorable experience at the school was watching the students perform songs and dances at the annual celebration in honor of the school’s namesake.
