By Staff | Feb 17, 2011

HONOLULU — Bank of Hawaii has increased its 2011 Mike Lyons Maui Community Award to $25,000.

Nonprofit organizations on Maui, Lanai and Molokai are invited to submit applications by March 17.

The award was established in honor of the late, retired Senior Vice President and Maui District Manager Michael H. Lyons II, who was a dedicated community leader throughout his 41-year career with the bank.

Bank of Hawaii welcomes nominations from nonprofit 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt organizations. Nominations may be made by the public or the organizations themselves.

Nomination forms are available at all Bank of Hawaii branches in Maui County or by calling (808) 856-2302.

In 2010, the $20,000 award was divided equally between four non-profits: Fun Day Foundation, A Keiki’s Dream; Hale Makua Health Services; Maui County Salvation Army; and Maui Economic Concerns of the Community.
