HONOLULU — Starwood Hotels & Resorts Hawaii recently made three general manager appointments.

Chip Bahouth will be the general manager of the Sheraton Kauai Resort, Tetsuji Yamazaki will be the general manager of the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa, and R. George Reed will be the general manager of the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa.

“Starwood is honored to have a solid management team with Bahouth, Yamazaki and Reed,” said Keith Vieira, Starwood’s senior vice president of operations, Hawaii & French Polynesia.

“All three bring a wealth of hotel service industry experience and leadership to their new positions. We look forward to their continued success with Starwood Hotels & Resorts.”

Bahouth joined Starwood in 1981 and has held a variety of leadership positions with the company in the areas of operations, sales and marketing, and food and beverage.

Yamazaki

He has worked for many of Starwood’s Hawaii resorts, including the Sheraton Maui, the former Hotel Hana Maui and the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani in Honolulu. In 1999 and 2007, under his leadership, the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa received Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ highest honor, “Hotel of the Year,” for the Sheraton brand.

Yamazaki joined Starwood in 1997 and has since held an array of leadership roles, including assistant hotel manager for the Royal Hawaiian and front office manager, director of property operations and hotel manager for the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa.

In his most recent role, Yamazaki served as general manager of Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa.
