‘Starting A Venture in Hawaii’ slated in Lahaina
LAHAINA — Those thinking of starting a venture or business project for the first time, or experienced entrepreneurs thinking of launching a new product or service, are encouraged to attend “Starting A Venture in Hawaii.”
Offered by the Hawaii Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in conjunction with the Office of Continuing Education and Training at Maui Community College, the class will be held Thursday, June 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the West Maui Education Center at 60 Kenui St. in Lahaina.
Participants will get an overview of how to evaluate business ideas in general, available resources, needs and issues particular to Maui.
The class will be led by Maui SBDC consultant Fred Rickert, MBA, who has more than 30 years of business experience in leadership and consulting roles for financial and strategic planning.
Class fee is $23, which includes a sample business plan, the booklet “Starting A Business on Maui” and other resources.
